Partner appointed president of Swansea & District Law Society

The prestigious Swansea & District Law Society, which was formed in 1879 to support solicitors in the Swansea area, has appointed a president – Adrian Morley, a partner here at Hutchinson Thomas.

Adrian took the reins this May and will serve a 12 month term in the post. He replaces Lynne Naylor, a partner at Cameron Jones Hussell & Howe.

Adrian specialises in residential conveyancing including new builds, help to buy, shared ownership, lease extensions, stair casing of shared ownership leases and purchase of freehold reversion of leasehold houses.

The Swansea & District Law Society is notable for its charitable activities and fundraising and has a tradition of offering each incoming president the opportunity to nominate a charity to support.

Adrian has chosen to support Welsh children’s hospice, Ty Hafen, which is the official charity of the law firm. He commented:

“I’m very happy to take up the position as president for Swansea & District Law Society. The organization offers a great deal of support to solicitors in the local area. And it’s a great opportunity to have the society’s help in raising money for Ty Hafen.”

On 10 September this year Adrian will be also be taking part in the Great North Run for the Make a Wish Foundation.

Hutchinson Thomas has a strong tradition in supporting charities and earlier this year, two of our staff completed the London Marathon raising more than £6,000 for the Shaw Trust, a national charity that provides employment opportunities, skills development training and health and well-being services across the UK.
