Trainee Solicitor
Emily is a trainee solicitor in the probate department. She deals with Wills, Powers of Attorney, trusts, the administration of estates and Court of Protection work.
As well as assisting partners Rhian Williams and Louise Williams, Emily manages her own caseload.
She assists with deputyship matters where one of the partners has been appointed as a professional deputy. Emily has the day-to-day running of these files, working on behalf of clients who have lost mental capacity and who are particularly vulnerable. She has the responsibility of ensuring that their rights and interests are properly protected.
She advises on all aspects of making a Will, including Inheritance Tax matters and whether tax planning is advisable.
When dealing with estates, Emily takes pains to minimise the stress for those who have lost loved ones, doing all she can to make the process as easy as possible in difficult and emotional circumstances. She takes the time to help clients who are upset and always handles matters sensitively.
She is known for her friendly and easy-going nature as well as her strong work ethic. She is extremely helpful and always goes the extra mile for her clients.
Emily is very good at explaining things clearly, including complex issues such as Court of Protection deputyship, so that clients are not overwhelmed, while maintaining the highest professional standards.
