Due to expansion, we are looking for a human resources manager to join our management team.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Pro-actively developing effective working relationships with partners and line managers around the firm and providing HR advice, guidance and support
  • Facilitating and co-ordinating the delivery of annual performance reviews, reinforcing the importance of continuous and honest feedback
  • Providing support and advice to our different practice areas and offices on strategy and operational matters
  • Ensuring that all employee issues are handled appropriately and in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures and legislative requirements
  • Effectively managing discipline and grievance issues
  • Maintaining and sharing knowledge of employment legislation, best practice and industry experience
  • Ensuring employee absenteeism is monitored and appropriate action taken
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and systems to ensure that the firm’s policies are comprehensive and up-to-date
  • Leading and developing projects to support HR and wider firm strategies
  • In conjunction with Operations Partner, COLP and COFA, evaluating training and development requirements
  • Designing and overseeing the firm’s training programme
  • Managing the recruitment and development of professional and support staff
  • In conjunction with Operations Partner, ensuring that all HR processes are efficient, effective and completed on time and acting as a ‘go to’ person
  • Working and reporting to the Operations Partner to develop and implement HR strategy across the firm

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A track record as an effective HR manager/officer ideally within professional services
  • HR operations experience
  • A track record of working with management
  • CIPD membership (preferably)
