Hutchinson Thomas are Childcare Law Firm Award winners for 2021

Here at Hutchinson Thomas, we are delighted to announce that we have been named Childcare Law Firm of the Year for the second year running, in the SME News Legal Awards.

The SME News Legal Awards exist to celebrate and reward the dedicated hard work of individuals and companies, in the legal services field, from across the UK. They recognise market leaders in the legal field for their commitment, excellence, and determination.

Award entries are open to all businesses within the UK’s legal sector, regardless of their size.

Winning an SME Legal Award shines a light on the efforts of all of our Hutchinson Thomas staff members – particularly those working in our Childcare team – and highlights how much they are valued by our organisation.

It also recognises our extensive expertise within the legal profession, dedication to ensuring client satisfaction and retention, and an outstanding level of service.  The award judges stated that they feel we provide a level of service which deserves to be spotlighted!

Debbie Richards, Partner in our Childcare team, said:

“It is a great honour to win this award, and a wonderful recognition of the hard work all of our team put in to get the best outcome for our clients. The rigorous judging criteria employed by the SME News Legal Awards means the awards are especially highly prized. It was the second year in a row for us to win this award. ”

“I’m sure one of the factors that enabled us to win the award is that our Childcare team comprises of four solicitors, three of whom are members of the Law Society’s Children Act Panel (Children Representatives), meaning that we have the ability and experience to act in any case involving the welfare of, and access to, children. We are very well supported by the rest of the team consisting of a trainee Legal Executive, Paralegals in addition to our solid foundation of secretarial and admin support. Congratulations to the whole team, it is very well deserved!”

The awards are based on merit, not simply the number of votes received. The judging process ensures that they reward parties based on their excellence in the industry, the commitment to their clients and their dedication to services.

The SME News Legal Awards has strict criteria for all award nominees, employing an experienced research team which compile each casefile using nomination information, voting information, any supporting evidence that is supplied, along with the results from their own extensive period of fact-checking and research.

The SME News team work ardently to identify market leaders, innovators, and enterprising start-ups, driving many of the nominations themselves. They also encourage external nominations via the SME News subscribers, online visitors, social media followers, clients and wider circulation.

The team gather information independently from a variety of publicly accessible sources, which are assessed alongside any material supplied by a nominating party or the nominee themselves.

The research team casts their final judgment, based on various criteria including client dedication, innovation, business growth, longevity, online reputation, customer feedback and business performance.
