Chantelle is a Trainee Solicitor in our Childcare department, training under Partner and Law Society Children Panel Member, Meriel East.
She assists in a wide range of public law proceedings, including applications for Care Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, and Deprivation of Liberty Orders. Chantelle supports both parents and Children’s Guardians in these often complex and sensitive cases. She also works on private law matters, representing parents seeking court orders regarding child arrangements, such as where a child should live and how they spend time with each parent.
Chantelle is committed to a child-focused approach in all her work. She values empathy and clear communication, aiming to provide both guidance and reassurance to clients during what can be a very challenging time.
Her responsibilities include drafting legal documents such as applications and statements, preparing for and attending court hearings, and representing clients at meetings including Looked After Children Reviews, Child Protection Conferences, and Public Law Outline proceedings.
Chantelle has also worked closely with Meriel East on highly complex High Court cases involving serious and sensitive issues, gaining valuable experience in this demanding area of law.
