Resolving a dispute without going to court
We usually recommend dealing with a dispute without litigation where possible. Court cases can be time-consuming to prepare for, they divert your team’s attention away from their job and they can be both stressful and expensive.
Alternative dispute resolution is generally a much quicker alternative and more cost-effective. If you take a case to court, there is also a risk that the result that is imposed upon you will not be what you wanted. However, with other methods of dispute resolution the parties involved with agree together upon a solution that is acceptable to all of them.
This allows you to put the matter behind you and it can even repair a relationship to the extent where you are still able to do business with the other party should you wish to do so.
