The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Legal Assistant in our Property department. You will be responsible for assisting with secretarial and administrative support, liaising with clients and diary management, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the solicitors within the property department
- Efficiently manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Prepare and format legal documents
- Manage solicitors’ diaries, schedule appointments, and maintain an organised filing system
- Assist with client liaison, handling telephone calls, and maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Conduct legal research and compile information as required by the solicitors
- Prepare billing statements, track expenses, and assist with financial administration tasks
- Collaborate with the wider legal support team and contribute to the overall efficiency of the department
Requirements
- Experience as a Legal Assistant working in conveyancing (1 year preferred)
- Excellent typing and document formatting skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court processes, and procedures
- Proficiency in using legal case management software and MS Office Suite
- Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanour
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality are essential

Pay: £20,820.84 per year

The position will be full time (35 hours per week). Our full-time working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
